The Road to India began at Yale

On Sunday I awakened at 5:30 AM to catch up on the news back home since we left. In doing so, I discovered that Destination Peace is traversing the road from Connecticut to India; traversing to equality with compassion.

An article appeared in this morning’s Washington Post entitled “Yale renames Calhoun College because of historic ties to white supremacy and slavery.”

As it turns out, the very day before we left for India I was the final guest speaker before this historic name change at the “Master’s Tea” which was held at Calhoun in honor of Daniel Siegel’s legacy, in which I also spoke about Destination Peace.

This announcement from Yale was made by Julia Adams, who hosted us and is the head of the renaming.

For those who know me well, I believe there are no such things as coincidences! To me, coincidences are “God’s intervention without the publicity!” Daniel’s memory once again is a force for peaceful transitions in the world he once resided.

His memory will always be for a blessing!
