On Our Way to India

Thursday February 2, 2017

How befitting today to fly over Egypt, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Iran, en route to India. Traversing over the cradle of civilization while hovering over the Tigris Euphrates River; the Biblical location Abraham crossed over while looking upward to the stars in the sky where we are now floating.

We are passing over the ground that Jesus, Moses and Mohammed stood and taught on. Where slaves, hostages, pioneers, builders, mathematicians, philosophers, pharaohs, and prophets, walked and the sacred ground where a Burning Bush didn’t burn.

In a few hours my wife and I will arrive in India to bring Destination Peace to the land of nonviolent leaders; into the “birthing room” of global nonviolence through the example and words of the late Gandhi; to the saintliness and humanity of the Dali Lama and the selflessness and unconditional hugging of Amma.
