Faith in One Another

An explanation from Manny regarding Destination Peace’s “destination”:

An important “vehicle” traveling on the path of Destination Peace is understanding and appreciating the many diverse religions, faiths, and beliefs of others. We felt that it was necessary to immerse ourselves in the complexities and hidden aspects of faith-based communities.

Janice and I began the Destination Peace journey exploring the Hindu faith. It is considered by many scholars to be the oldest religion, although some scholars state that Judaism and Hinduism began almost simultaneously.

By the end of the month we will have visited the most sacred and ancient Temples recognized by the Hindu faith. The elaborate and mysterious rites have been maintained for thousands of years, and the sheer historical power of these ancient ceremonies is remarkable. Janice and I have been allowed unique access on several occasions into the inner sanctums of the Hindu Temples.

If you continue to follow Destination Peace we promise to take you to places you may never have explored or knew existed. Ultimately, if people learn more about one another’s beliefs, rituals and customs or why and how some have faith or choose not to have faith; we can learn to embrace our differences.
