Dear Valued Supporters and Friends of Destination Peace,

This month, we’ve been especially inspired by the theme of Integrity vs. Manufactured Integrity: Rebuilding Trust in a Digital Age. In an era where truth often struggles against a tide of misinformation, Destination Peace remains steadfast in our mission to foster genuine dialogue and trust core pillars of lasting peace. By championing integrity over manufactured narratives, we aim to rebuild the foundations of cooperation that unite communities and nations.
Next month we will share a glimpse into our forthcoming global trips that will carry our mission forward.
Thank you for joining our destination as we work to rebuild trust and cultivate a more peaceful world. Your support fuels our journey, and we’re excited to share this month’s stories with you.
Emanuel C Perlman

May 2025 Developments
Preparations for a Purposeful Journey
May 2025 unfolded as a month of meticulous preparation and steadfast resolve for Destination Peace. With our sights set on transformative trips to Ghana and Nigeria, our team dedicated itself to navigating the time-consuming online visa application processes. A note of counsel for fellow global ambassadors: the landscape of international travel has grown more complex, with visa requirements now more intricate and costly than ever. We urge those planning multi-country journeys to allocate generous time for these preparations. Such diligence is not merely practical, it is the bedrock of successful global engagement, ensuring that our focus remains resolute on our mission of peace advocacy.
Vocal Mastery at the Voice Foundation Symposium
In May, a remarkable opportunity arose as our founder attended the Voice Foundation’s Symposium on Care of the Professional Voice in Philadelphia. This distinguished gathering convened the foremost minds in vocal health and science, offering profound insights into the artistry and mechanics of the human voice. Master classes led by seasoned professionals illuminated techniques to preserve and enhance vocal strength knowledge our founder will carry forward into our global endeavors. For those eager to delve further into this enriching experience, we warmly invite you to visit our blog at https://destinationpeace.org/professional-voice-care/.
Forging Unity in Ghana and Nigeria
As we turn our gaze to July, Destination Peace embarks on a journey of profound significance to Ghana and Nigeria, a pilgrimage of purpose, woven with activities that embody our commitment to fostering peace and unity across borders.
Inspiring the Next Generation at Queen’s Model School
Our journey takes us to Enugu, Nigeria, where we will engage with the vibrant community of the Queen’s Model School across its three sections. Brief yet heartfelt addresses to the staff and pupils will impart messages of peace and global citizenship, planting seeds of hope in the hearts of the next generation.
Leading these efforts is Chukwuma Okenwa, CEO and Founder of LEAD, whose visionary leadership empowers Nigerian youth to become architects of a just and harmonious future. Through his pioneering work in media and holistic education, Chukwuma ignites inspiration, creating platforms that amplify young voices and foster resilience in communities across Nigeria. His unwavering commitment to nurturing ethical leadership aligns seamlessly with Destination Peace’s mission, making him a pivotal partner in our shared vision of a world united by compassion and understanding.
We will also witness a special presentation by the school’s children, a powerful testament to the role of education in shaping compassionate, thoughtful minds.
Legacy on World Peace Day
Our visit to Enugu extends to a cinema that will serve as the hallowed venue for World Peace Day held in honor of our founder, Emanuel C. Perlman. This gathering promises to be a moving tribute, uniting the community in reflection on peace as a shared aspiration and enduring legacy.
Amplifying Peace Through Media and Dialogue
In the spirit of connection and outreach, we will lend our voices to a podcast at Cafe One, broadening the reach of our message, and participate in an interview on Afia TV, where we will share the arc of our efforts and our vision for the future.
A Summit for Interfaith Harmony
A pinnacle of our journey will be the Peace Summit, where we will convene with diverse religious leaders to explore pathways to interfaith dialogue and cooperation. This gathering stands as a cornerstone of our belief that peace is a tapestry, woven from threads of inclusivity and respect that transcend all divides.
Celebrating Excellence at Queen’s School Graduation
Our time in Nigeria will culminate in the honor of participating in the Queen’s Model School’s Graduation Ceremony, a celebration of students whose achievements reflect the values of peace and excellence we hold dear.
Each step of this journey from the preparations of May to the symposium of June and the engagements of July embodies Destination Peace’s unwavering dedication to building a more harmonious world through education, dialogue, and community. We look forward to sharing the fruits of these efforts in the editions to come.
